Artist description:

This artwork explores the meaning and significance of love and devotion. “Mi Corazón” represents the deeply personal and emotional connection between a lover and the object of their affection.  The use of a large metal heart, the white fur background, along with the inclusion of a nude portrait of the young man affixed to the bejeweled starburst Sacred Heart suggests a romantic and passionate relationship, with the overall artwork serving as a symbol of love and commitment. The fact that the figure is crouched projects a sense of vulnerability, while the neon-lit metal heart surrounding the figure suggests an intimate and protective environment.

With this piece, the artist is conveying that love, in all its forms, is a powerful and divine force that transcends the boundaries between the spiritual and material worlds.

As usual, the artwork is signed with the artist’s last name and an antique numbered tool tag.  This artwork is signed with tool tag #143.  143 is based on the number of letters in each word of the phrase  I (1), love (4), you (3).
